Annecdotally, children seem to spending more and more time on screens. Our reliance on the ubiquitous smartphones and devices is apparently changing our brains and having both positive and negative effects. Increasingly, researchers are finding that there are impacts on the use of screens that may have unintended consequences. For busy and harried parents, what alternatives exist for them to encourage play and encourage their children away from an over-reliance on technology to occupy their children?
